Hello,

I am Hania, SPA MAROC, was inspired by my Aunt Tahra Aouad, also called ‘Al Moumna’ which in Arabic might translate as:“Kind and spiritual with a beautiful aura, she can never hurt, only heal.”

When Al Moumna was a child she used to regularly travel to beyond Mecca with her father, a silk merchant. And so they were learning as they went on the different silk roads…..

After many years of marriage and unable to have children, she decided to become creative in a different way. Inspired by what she had learnt during her earlier travels, she began to make natural and holistic remedies using precious ingredients. These were her children! As time passed, she became such a famous healer in Sale (my Mother’s home town in Morocco) that people would come from far and wide for treatment.

I remember being successfully treated by my aunty for a scalp problem where traditional medicinal treatments have failed. It impressed me so much that today, I find myself compelled to continue and develop my family tradition by bringing this knowledge into the modern world and so to you too.

About Hania,

I grew up in an herbal natural family addict. And i have always been very curious about herbal natural  remedies. My parents used herbal natural remedy treatment like teas, soups, compresses and ointments to treat minor health problems. They use to teach our neighbourhood how to make natural remedies. My dad use to make a very effective ointment based on natural bees wax (from the House of candles in the Holistic city of Sala), virgin olive oil and rose.This was to protect our skin in winter time.

Actually, my passion number one is the Beautiful Silk fabric. I was may be 6 years old, and i remember going with my mum to her friend H. Zoubida. She  was the best tailor for women in Sala, she was very modern and had a very pronounced avant-gardism. And i do remember very well, each time i entered the sewing room, it was just like a big  WOW!  All these gorgeous silk fabrics, would become my mother’s sublime kaftans and modern dresses. I absolutely wanted samples from all of them to make clothes for my dollies. Ah! I loved so much the moment H. Zoubida, initiated me to the art of modelling and sewing…

So at SPA MAROC, i wanted to unify my passion for Natural Beauty, Silky Fabric and Wellbeing.

Hania’s EXPERIENCE

  • Devoted 6 years understanding Herbal Natural Products in London and Morocco.
  • Diploma in Hand made aromatherapy and herbal natural beauty products.
  • Award Health & Harmony; the Magazine of Yoga, Holistic and Natural Health. Summer 2009.
  • 2 Certificates in making anti-ageing products.
  • 3 years as physiotherapist at Urban-Bliss, London.
  • 13 years experience between private cabinet and independent physiotherapist in Morocco.
  • 2 years work at National Rehabilitation Hospital in Sale, Morocco.
  • 2 years Voluntary work. Recording the courses for 4 blind young students in same class as me.
  • 1 year Biology University in Morocco.
